Welcome to my very first blog post! I am starting this blog to share my passion with the world in the hopes of inspiring others to take action in their communities. I have found that when you find something that you really love--whether it be volunteering in your community or competing in your favorite sport-- it becomes one of the most joyful things in your life.
Here are some highlights of this month that I thought I could share!
As a student of the Abhinaya School of Dance, my dance group and I were given the opportunity to perform at the Congregation Shir Tikvah (a Jewish Synagogue), representing Hindu Prayer for the National Day of Prayer Service. Not only did we get to showcase our dancing abilities, but we also were able to learn about the many wonderful cultures that exist within our diverse community.
One of the best parts of being in orchestra at Baker Middle School is the fact that in eighth grade, we get to visit Cedar Point. We got to play in an orchestra festival there, where we ended up winning some awards for our stellar performance! Regardless of the fact that I hate roller coasters (I’d rather stay upright), I enjoyed Cedar Point the most because of the amazing food and weather that day.
As part of a school trip, my friends and I spent three wonderful days in Cleveland, Ohio. We went on a tour of Cleveland, a cruise on the Nautica Queen, explored various museums, the Cleveland Zoo, and Cedar Point, for the second time in 10 days!
To wrap up the month of May, my family and I went to our local nature center where we walked on the trail for an hour, and took some beautiful pics of the scenery!
Thanks for reading my first blog post! Come back next month for more!
