Getting my Braces Off & India Trip

Ahh, December. As we all know, it represents the end of a year. For me, it was a pretty good year. I finished middle school, and experienced the rigors, but also the enjoyment of high school.

I was very pleased to hear that my eighth grade English teacher, Ms. Costello, received a kidney in early December after waiting for 2 years. This is absolutely amazing news! I'm so glad she was able to get it, because some people wait for up to 10 years. Her donor was a 19 year old man who was killed in a car accident. His family kept him on life support so that they could coordinate the donation, so he was able to give the gift of life!

Also, I got my braces of this month, which I have been waiting for since January 2016. I was so happy to finally be able to eat the foods that I like without having to worry about breaking any brackets or having loose wires. It was also great that I received some popcorn, candy, and balloons from the orthodontist office when I got my braces off!

Currently, I am in India, enjoying my time with family and relatives. Before this trip, I haven’t been to India in two years, so I was counting down the days until I would get to be with my relatives again! Overall, it has been a great few days and I will be so sad to leave!

See you next year:))
